Boston Court Reporters
For Zoom depositions, click any transcript line to rewatch exact moments — facial expressions, body language, and hesitations that text and audio alone miss. Perfect for impeachment prep.
Schedule a Zoom DepositionWhat Is It?
Rough Video Synch extends the same click-to-play concept as Rough Audio Synch to include the video recording from Zoom depositions. You don’t just read what was said — you watch how it was said.
For Zoom remote and hybrid depositions, BCR captures both the audio and the Zoom video recording as the proceeding unfolds. We then sync your rough transcript to the video so that each question and answer is linked to the exact frame in the recording.
When you review, you read the rough, click any line, and immediately rewatch the witness at that precise moment — facial expressions, body language, hesitation, and tone all visible in context.
You can read, re-hear, and re-watch. Elevate your strategy with visual credibility cues. Click any line of your rough transcript to jump directly to that moment in the deposition video.
Availability
Zoom requirement: Rough Video Synch is available for all-remote Zoom and hybrid Zoom-in-person depositions. Because Zoom offers a clean, single-stream audio-and-video recording, our system ingests the Zoom video plus your transcript to produce a perfectly synced file. It is not offered for fully in-person depositions without video.
For fully in-person depositions, Rough Audio Synch delivers the same click-to-hear capability with a 98%-accurate rough transcript linked to the audio recording.
The Process
BCR captures the Zoom recording and audio as the proceeding unfolds. Our digital reporter monitors quality in real time and makes annotations at key moments.
Software aligns each line of the rough transcript with the corresponding video frame and audio track. Every question and answer is tied to its exact moment on screen.
You receive an interactive file with playback controls. Open in your browser, click any line, and instantly jump to that moment in the video. No scrubbing necessary.
Review testimony visually, build clip banks by page and line, and share with your team. Many litigation platforms accept synced files directly for trial presentation.
Strategic Advantage
Jurors and judges respond to how something is said, not just what is said. Rough Video Synch lets you experience testimony the way your fact-finder will.
Rewatch facial expressions, posture, and hesitation at the very lines you plan to use. The witness who reads as confident on the page may look very different on screen.
Instantly rewatch each key answer, note non-verbal cues, and decide where to press harder, where to impeach, and where to move on. Precision that text alone cannot give you.
Mark and export clips based on page and line ranges instead of hunting manually through a full-length video file. Saves hours in trial and mediation preparation.
Paralegals, associates, and experts can all search the transcript, tag clips, and build impeachment banks, then hand curated clips to the trial team — from anywhere.
In many modern trials and mediations, deposition testimony is presented via video. Reviewing your case using synced video helps you experience it the way your fact-finder will.
Time-stamped audio and video confirm every word, pause, and non-verbal response. When testimony is disputed, go back to the frame.
